The room may be used for measuring and fitting prosthetic appliances but not for fabrication.

Additional Considerations:

• Medication storage, clean-up facilities for instruments, sink and plaster trap facilities are to be provided nearby.
• An operational model for responding to calls from staff/patients will be needed to support the inclusion of a nurse call system and is to be determined based on service requirements.
• An external outlook is desirable.
