Following extensive consultation with clinical and technical experts, the following resources have been updated:

Allied Health Standard Components
Changes include updating and creating new rooms to reflect contemporary operational models, equipment and design requirements and to support patient accessibility and staff safety. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 140 Allied Health/Therapy Unit Schedule of Accommodation.

Please note: A new supplementary document has been created for the development of gymnasium layouts and appears as an additional PDF under the Room Layout Sheets for both the Group Therapy and Individual Treatment Gymnasiums on the website.

The updated/new Standard Components include:

  • ADLB – ADL Bathroom
  • ADLD – ADL Dining
  • ADLK – ADL Kitchen (previously ADLK-OP)
  • ADLL – ADL Laundry
  • AUD-CR – Audiology Control Room (new)
  • AUD-TR – Audiology Testing Room (previously AUDIO)
  • GYAH-GP – Gymnasium, Group Therapy (new)
  • GYAH-ID – Gymnasium, Individual Treatment (new)
  • HYDP – Hydrotherapy Pool
  • TRMT-HTS – Treatment Room - Hand Therapy/Splinting (new)
  • TRMT-POD – Treatment Room – Podiatry (previously PODTR-14)

The following Standard Components have been retired:

  • ADLBR – ADL Bed Room
  • ADLK-ENC – ADL Kitchen - Enclosed
  • GYAH-45 – Gymnasium, 45m2
  • GYAH-60 – Gymnasium, 60m2
  • PODTR-12 – Podiatry Treatment, 12m2

Pharmacy Standard Components
Changes include updating and creating new rooms to reflect contemporary operational models, equipment and design requirements. Areas previously termed “assembly and preparation” have now been developed as individual workstations for dispensing, distribution and returns. These workstations can be combined to develop zones within a department to meet service requirements. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 560 Pharmacy Unit Schedule of Accommodation.

The updated/new Standard Components include:

  • PHA-CO – Pharmacy - Counter
  • PHA-DS – Pharmacy - Dispensing Workstation (new)
  • PHA-DB – Pharmacy - Distribution Workstation (new)
  • PHA-RE – Pharmacy - Returns Workstation (new)
  • PHA-PR – Pharmacy - Preparation Room, Non-Aseptic (previously PREP)
  • STAD – Store - Accountable Drugs

The following Standard Components have been retired:

  • ASPR-20 – Assembly/ Preparation (Pharmacy), 20m2
  • ASPR-30 – Assembly/ Preparation (Pharmacy), 30m2
  • GRE – Goods Receipt - Pharmacy

Renal Dialysis Standard Components
Minor updates have been made to rooms to reflect contemporary equipment and design requirements. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 620 Renal Dialysis Unit Schedule of Accommodation.

The updated Standard Components include:

  • PBTR-RD-A – Patient Bay - Renal Dialysis, Chair
  • PBTR-RD-B – Patient Bay - Renal Dialysis, Bed
  • PLNT-WT – Plant - Water Treatment
