Following extensive consultation with clinical and technical experts, the following resources have been updated:
Oral Health Standard Components
Changes include updating and creating new rooms to reflect contemporary operational models, equipment and design requirements and to support patient accessibility and staff safety. Two new Dental Surgery Standard Components have been developed that have increased to 14.5m2 to accommodate contemporary equipment. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 280 Oral Health Unit.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- DENSR-1 – Dental Surgery, Type 1 (new)
- DENSR-2 – Dental Surgery, Type 2 (new)
- DEN-MLB – Dental Laboratory, Minor (previously DENW)
The following Standard Components have been retired:
- DENSR-14 – Dental Surgery, 14m2
- DENSR-16 – Dental Surgery, 16m2
Radiation Oncology Standard Components
Three new Standard Components have been developed for Radiation Oncology including a Linear Accelerator Treatment Room and associated Control Room. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the up-coming revision of HPU 600 Radiation Oncology Unit.
The new Standard Components include:
- LINAC – Linear Accelerator Treatment Room (new)
- LINAC-CR – Linear Accelerator Control Room (new)
- CTPR – CT Planning Room (new)
Staff Amenities Standard Components
Rooms have been updated to reflect contemporary operational models, FFE and design requirements and to support staff safety and amenity.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- CHST-10 – Change - Staff, 10m2
- CHST-35 – Change - Staff, 35m2
- OVBR – Overnight Stay - Bedroom
- OVES – Overnight Stay - Ensuite
- BPROP – Bay - Property, Staff (previously PROP-2)
- SHST – Shower - Staff
- SRM-15 – Staff Room, 15m2
- SRM-35 – Staff Room, 35m2
The following Standard Components have been retired:
- CHST-20 – Change - Staff (Male/Female), 20m2
- SRM-18 – Staff Room, 18m2
- SRM-25 – Staff Room, 25m2
Clinical Support Set 2 Standard Components
A number of Standard Components have been updated and some have been retired, reflecting contemporary models of care, equipment and current staff work practices.
The updated/new Standard Components include:
- BHW-Bay - Height / Weight
- BMEQ-Bay - Mobile Equipment (previously BMEQ-4)
- BRES-Bay - Resuscitation Trolley
- BWC-Bay - Wheelchair Park
- CORR-Corridor - Patient Treatment Areas
- OFF-CLN - Office - Clinical Workroom
- SSTN-10 - Staff Station, 10m2
- SSTN-14 - Staff Station, 14m2
- SSTN-20 - Staff Station, 20m2
- STEQ-14 - Store - Equipment, 14m2
- STEQ-20 - Store - Equipment, 20m2
- STGN - Store – General (previously STGN-9)
The following Standard Components have been retired:
- BMEQ-6 - Bay - Mobile Equipment, 6m2
- STGN-8 - Store - General, 8m2
