Following extensive consultation with clinical and technical experts, the Emergency Standard Components have been updated. There has been a delay to publishing these following the Health Planning Unit publication due to a comprehensive audit and clean-up of the AusHFG Item Control Schedule and revised Room Data Sheet template for improved usability.
Changes include updating rooms to reflect contemporary operational models, equipment and design requirements. All room names and sizes have been updated to align with the recently updated HPU 300 Emergency Unit.
The updated Standard Components include:
- RECP-E - Reception - Emergency (previously REC-E)
- TRIAGE-CO - Triage - Emergency, Assessment Counter (previously TRIAGE-1)
- TRIAGE-RM - Triage - Emergency, Assessment Room (previously TRIAGE-2)
- PTB-E-ACU - Patient Bay - Emergency, Acute Treatment (previously PBTR-A)
- PTB-E-ACU-E - Patient Bay - Emergency, Acute Treatment, Enclosed (previously PBTR-AS)
- PTB-E-NAC - Patient Bay - Emergency, Non-Acute Treatment (previously PBTR-NA)
- PTB-E-ATR - Patient Bay - Emergency, Ambulatory Treatment (previously PBTR-FT)
- PTB-E-AMB - Patient Bay - Emergency, Ambulance Triage (previously PBAT)
- PTB-E-RES - Patient Bay - Emergency, Resuscitation (previously PBTR-R)
The following Standard Component has been created:
- SSTN-E - Staff Station - Emergency, Control Hub
Project Resources
Updates to the above Standard Components are also reflected in the following updated Project Resources:
- Standard Component Document Register
- Standard Component File for Import (to database or BIM platforms)
- Item Control Schedule (version 2.3)
Note: due to changes to the Room Data Sheet (RDS) content and format, the File for Import has been provided as two separate files. One file provides the information for the Standard Components that are still published in the old RDS format, while the other provides information for the Standard Components that are now published in the new RDS format. This will be updated progressively as Standard Components are reviewed and re-published until all Standard Components are provided in the new format.
Due to a model update that is in progress, an updated version of the AusHFG Revit Model cannot be provided at this time.
The following Resources do NOT yet reflect the above changes to Standard Components:
- AusHFG Revit Model (and Shared Parameters)
- AusHFG IFC Model
Communication to follow shortly regarding model updates.
A thank you is extended to the many user representatives, jurisdictional representatives and industry experts who have assisted in the review and production of these resources.
Kind regards,
The AusHFG Team
